A second wedding for a beautiful couple.
A small and intimate event.
This was an absolutely gorgeous micro wedding for Kimberly and Dave. We started out at the Royal Park hotel in Rochester Michigan for our preliminary photos. The couple was waiting for us in the library and ready to go. They were on time and that always makes for a smooth start.
We spent about a half an hour with the couple in the hallways and around the property. We also took some photos with their children. What a lovely spot for photos. The couple was staying at the Royal Park so this was a natural for them to want to get some pictures there. We also spent some time around the grounds outside.
Off to Cafe Cortina for the service.
We took a few detail shots of the room setup and details. They were in the small fireplace room for the reception so the room was set and ready. The service was held on the back patio in front of the fireplace. They probably had about a dozen guests.
After the service we took a few photos of the couple on the beautiful pathways before they went into the restaurant for dinner. We did not stay for the dinner nor toast but I’m sure they were captured well on someone’s phone. Our focus was the beauty around the Royal Park and the service at Cafe Cortina.
A bit about micro weddings.
Micro weddings are becoming more and more popular. The expense of holding an immense wedding can be daunting. Often second weddings are small and intimate with just the core people in their orbit that they would like to share this experience with. Hiring us to photograph for them means we get to capture those key moments but focus more on the couple and the immediate family. We really enjoy micro weddings and especially at these two locations.
