Some Thoughts…

The chilly December air didn’t slow down this high energy celebration at the Grosse Pointe Academy Chapel! Samantha and Timothy met in high school and they’ve been together ever since — a big joyful celebration was so fitting. Friends and family were very much involved and happy to be there. However, even among the commotion of the wedding, Samantha stayed cool and collected. It was real a delight working with her!

The Service…

Our couple’s ceremony was at Grosse Pointe Academy Chapel — a beautiful old Gothic building, I love to shoot there. After the wedding, the party headed to Nikkie’s bar, who sponsored the groom’s softball team. Subsequently, they had a lot of fun at the DIA and hanging around Downtown Detroit. Next at the reception at The Palazzo Grande in Shelby Twp. there was a big surprise…suddenly, a man dressed in mismatched clothes, a mask and wig danced erratically out of nowhere. He’s called “The General” and he is a long standing tradition at the Becker family weddings. We got a hilarious shot of him in action!

On a side note, Samantha’s wedding dress came from The Brides Project Ann Arbor, a very cool project where “… the money raised from the sale of gowns supports families touched by cancer through the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor”.

Finally, we love the night shots, they are fantastic. Definitely captures their unique and graceful side!
