Amanda and Suren celebrated a truly spectacular winter wedding at the historic The Whitney in downtown Detroit, Michigan. These two are genuinely some of the brightest and most captivating people I have ever had the absolute pleasure of meeting. Our photography team loved working alongside them, and the immense, warm energy in the room whenever they walked into it was unforgettable.

The Whitney stands as an iconic pillar of Detroit’s historic architecture. Built in the late 1890s as a grand lumber baron mansion, this spectacular estate features ornate carved woodwork, towering stained-glass windows, and an elegant Romanesque exterior. It provides an incredibly unique, intimate setting for couples looking to host a sophisticated downtown Detroit celebration.

Capturing Creative Portraits at the DIA and Downtown Detroit

Before arriving at the mansion for their intimate celebration, we explored the city for some creative couples’ portraits. We coordinated an additional portrait stop at the magnificent Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA), utilizing the landmark building’s soaring white marble steps and classic Beaux-Arts architecture as a dramatic backdrop.
