Meeting at the Law Quad for our photos…
We received a phone call from Janelle about her wedding coming up in a couple of months in Ann Arbor. She told us that her wedding was going to be at the 15th district Court in front of a magistrate.
We spent about an hour around the University of Michigan campus for our initial photos. The campus is well kept and open to the public. We had a great time walking around looking for interesting spots to photograph. After we felt we were in good shape with her pictures, we made our way down to the courthouse.
15th District Court in Ann Arbor…
We photographed several weddings in Plymouth at 35th District Court but the Ann Arbor location was new to us. It turned out to be a wonderful experience for everyone involved! The magistrate was fabulous to work with and very enthusiastic about being able to perform a wedding. I think she was delighted to be dealing with law abiding citizens wanting to get married versus a stream of legal issues during a regular business day. We had a great time!
After the small service, the family went outside for a group shot before everyone went their separate ways. I talked to the couple after the wedding and they were very happy with their photos as I was too. They were a very enjoyable couple and I’m sure they will enjoy their time together as their life unfolds. We wish them the very best!
