Emily & Shane: Dearborn Country Club Wedding

How we started…

We had the privilege of shooting Shane & Emily’s wedding at Dearborn Country Club this past weekend. We had a ball with them! They were full of energy from the outset and it went all day. We started out at Emily’s home getting ready, then took off for the church. Divine Child Catholic Church is a special place; we love shooting weddings there. The priests and staff have always been wonderful to work with and they make our couples feel so welcome. They really do a special job with the weddings.

Off to the Party…

After the service we took off for The Dearborn Country Club for the wedding reception. They let us take carts out on the course for some really great shots. The sky was spectacular that day. It rained part of the day but the clouds broke for us just in time, and the sunset was out of this world.

I did not think we were going to get a good sunset at first when I walked out of the front doors to look, but I wandered over to the north side of the clubhouse and what I saw was unbelievable. I ran and got the bride & groom and said you need to come now! They did and we got the shots just before the rain came again.

End of the night…

At the end of the night, Emily’s mom, Kathy, arranged a sparkler send off for the couple. It was a beautiful event and everyone was so into it. We even got a few of the guests to send Emily & Shane a special message in sparkler writing… LOVE. We felt so lucky and blessed to have had the chance to work for Emily & Shane, they were so much much fun and had a great wedding.
