Some thoughts on this engagement session on Belle Isle…
This engagement session for Melissa and Phillip took place on Belle Isle in Detroit Michigan. I remember getting the phone call from Philip and him explaining to me that I had photographed his sister’s wedding a couple of years before. He wondered if I remembered his sister and of course I did! They were a fabulous couple and I really enjoyed meeting her family and her fiance’s family.
How they met…
Philip and Melissa had met at their condo complex. Philip told me it was love at first sight and we enjoyed a couple of laughs about how he was head over heels for her. They booked their wedding for the fall but knew that they wanted to have an engagement session pretty soon. We set up a date to meet on Belle Isle.
Shooting around the Belle Isle…
We started out at the fountain because it’s a very easy spot to find and locate one another. It’s a great landmark that has been on the island for many decades. We took pictures around the island stopping at several really neat spots and finished with a group of shots near the casino. I really enjoyed working with this couple and very much look forward to their wedding. They are very much in love and that really counts! We wish them the best and will keep you posted when we get their wedding pictures ready.
We can’t wait for our next engagement session on Belle Isle!
