Some thoughts on this Parent Album design…

Doug and Kathy hosted a gorgeous wedding for their youngest daughter. It was a wedding held at St Patrick historical Catholic Church in Toledo Ohio. The reception at the Toledo Country Club. We had the privilege of photographing their eldest daughter’s wedding a couple of years prior. Doug and Kathy wanted their own design for their daughter’s wedding. Typically a client will order a duplicate of the bride and groom’s album but on occasion, the parents would like to have their own selections for their album which are somewhat different from the bride and grooms. It makes perfect sense because many times the parents have their own ideas and different friends and important high points from the wedding that they’d like to recall.

Getting ready at the Toledo County Club…

The wedding took place at the church but the bride got ready first at the Toledo Country Club. We spent a couple of hours around the club getting some beautiful shots before the bride and her bridesmaids drove to the church. We spent most of our time with the bride and her ladies. The guys arrived at the church about 20 minutes before the service. We were able to catch a few shots of them before the mass. St Patrick Historic Catholic Church in Toledo is a magnificent historic landmark. It has served the community for many many decades and is well liked and respected by its parishioners.

The Service at St Patrick Historic Catholic Church in Toledo…

Typically, a Catholic mass will take about an hour. It is a beautiful chance to share in the celebration of a young couple starting their lives together as a married couple. There was so much emotion and joy in the room as the couple shared their vows. After the service we took a few family photos and those were very important to Doug and Kathy for their album. It is an interesting observation that when there is a separate album for the parents, they typically have more family shots as a part of their design layout. I’m not exactly sure why the couples typically don’t put as many family shots in their album but it seems to be a common thread running through the two different design requests.

The Wedding Reception at The Toledo County Club…

The Toledo Country Club is a beautiful old club on the river. It has hosted generations of family events and is an anchor point for the community. It was a privilege to be a part of an event held here. Our studio is located about an hour north of Toledo and we don’t get a lot of calls to work in the area but it’s an easy commute for us and we really enjoy the history of this great old town.

The party took place on a beautiful summer night. It was such a delight to see many familiar faces again at this family event. The couple danced and played and enjoyed the company of their friends and family until late into the night. There came a point where we broke away from the group for about 15 minutes and got some gorgeous night shots outside the club. A couple of them have been featured in this parent album design.

The Fine Art Simple design style layout…

We wish the family the very best and can’t wait to meet all the grand kids that are destined to arrive. Thank you again for letting us be a part of this beautiful celebration and we hope that our blog viewers will enjoy looking over this gorgeous album design layout.
