DoubleTree by Hilton: A Stunning Venue for Ariana & Jeffrey

A gorgeous wedding in Munger MI…

Ariana and Jeffrey’s wedding took place at the Corinthian Chapel in Munger, Michigan with the reception being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bay City, Michigan. It was a gorgeous wedding and we’re happy to share some photos here. I remember getting the call to photograph this wedding. The couple told me that the wedding was going to take place at a church they had found just outside of Bay City that they liked very much. I had never heard of it and it turned out to be a beautiful spot for a wedding service.

The vows took place at the altar and probably took about 35 minutes to complete. We are often asked about time frames for how things fall together and that is a pretty common average for a non-catholic mass. About 30 minutes seems to be the norm. An ultra short wedding might be 10 minutes.

Downtown Bay City for the reception…

After the wedding we took a few family photos in the church then took off for downtown Bay City. We met up at Bay City fitness Park downtown and across the river from the DoubleTree Hilton. It’s a beautiful park with a causeway that goes out into the water that makes for some gorgeous images. The sky was a beautiful hue and the colors were spectacular around the water. The lighting was exceptionally smooth on this particular day. We probably spent about 30 to 40 minutes photographing in this park.

We then made our way over to the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bay City Riverfront for the reception. It was a gorgeous room setup and a lovely crowd. They were introduced into the room to a thunderous applause. Several very meaningful toasts were offered to the couple for their success and good luck in life. After a lovely dinner the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance. It was particularly meaningful for the bride and her father. She had lost her mom a short time before and the emotion in the room was particularly high.

Later on in the evening, we went outside for a few shots at sunset along the waterfront. It was such a beautiful evening and we really enjoyed ourselves! We hope you enjoy these photos also.
