He has met the standards of excellence set by the Professional Photographers of America. The degree is earned by nominations presented to the PPA Board and approved by the Council. The Honorary Master of Photography degree is one of the highest honors awarded by PPA. Individuals receiving this degree are automatically made Life Members of the PPA. PPA is worldwide association, which exists to assist its more than 20,000 members in achieving their professional, artistic and fraternal goals, to promote public awareness of the profession and to advance the making of images in all of its disciplines as an art, a science and a visual recorder of history.
