Cassie & John’s wedding photographs at Mill Race Village Northville & Meeting House Grand Ballroom Plymouth

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, that is what I have to say about these wedding photos!  Cassie and John chose 2 fantastic locations, which actually turned out to be 4 different looks!  Mill Race Village Church is a quaint location that is in the middle of the Village and it lends to some pretty and out of the ordinary backdrops!  Then off to the Meeting House Grand Ballroom in Plymouth, which is one of the premier wedding locations; built in 1927, the Meeting House Grand Ballroom is one of the finest totally private
and historic wedding reception site in Plymouth.  Personalities shown throughout the day!  It certainly was one fun wedding!  Cassie and John also took advantage of Kellogg Park in Plymouth, for some fun shots in front of the Penn, and the last photo, being our favorite, in front of the fountain.  Patrick & Sarah, way to go, You two got some really cool shots on this wedding!  Cassie and John, enjoy your wedding photos for years to come.

Nana & Alex’s destination wedding photographs at Marriott Key Largo Bay Resort, Key Largo FL

When we get that call for a destination wedding and it is in the Florida Keys, you know we are all over that idea!  Nana called us and gave us the run down on how she wanted things to happen.  They were planning a local reception at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester for family in the area, and then going down to the Keys to tie the knot.  I jumped a plane to Miami and then took a shuttle down the coast to Key Largo.  I sat up front and the driver told stories the whole way.  Mid afternoon I met up with Nana & Alex and we walked around and we got our game plan together.  There were lots of beautiful spots around the property that would work and we decided to meet up around sunset for some shots that night.  The sunsets in the Keys are some of the best I have ever seen and you can see why some of the great authors came here to write.  The next day we met up for the wedding, it was going to happen out on the beach.  It was a perfect day and there was a light breeze blowing in.  The wedding went off without a hitch and then we walked around the property getting some great shots!  Then took the afternoon off.  We met up again that evening for some additional sunset shots in her dress.  What a wedding, it was intimate and so beautiful!  Thanks for letting us capture these moments for you, we know you will enjoy these memories all your lives.

Allison & Richard had a beautiful wedding.  Linda Smith from Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian in Detroit, referred them to us some time back and we are grateful and love working with her at the church!  The church was formally organized with 46 members in 1854. The windows in the church are striking.  After the ceremony the couple went to Greenfield Village for some great fun and then over to Lovett Hall for their reception.  Everyone had a fantastic time.  Patrick, once again, you surpassed expectations on this wedding.  The photos are beautiful, capturing Allison and Richards’s individuality to a tee.

Kathryn & Kyle’s wedding photos show what an adorable couple they are!  There are so many cute photos; I like the one while they were getting ready of a “picture frame” of Kathryn as a little girl jumping into a pool!  And the fun continues!  They had a very pretty service at St. John Neuman in Canton and then they, along with their crazy bridal party went on to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.  Patrick got some romantic shots, some fun shots and some night time shots at the Museum, which is an amazing venue to hold your reception.  And to top it all off, Sparty came!  Great photos Patrick, and Kathryn and Kyle, enjoy them as you relive the wonderful day.

We had so much fun with this wedding, Shelby & Michael seemed so made for one another.  It’s all about how people feel toward each other and the love in the room that makes for the great weddings.

Getting ready for the wedding we got some really nice photographs of the groups getting ready then they were off to get married.  The Priest that married them was a long time friend of the family and had married the bride’s parents years back.  He had a wonderful message during the service and many compliments were heard.  The Galilee Ballroom looked beautiful for the reception and was so well done.   DJ Ed Wilson, LeoLibra  Entertainment spun out some great tunes and the dance floor was packed!  This is one of our favorite dance shots of the two of them that night, they had a great group and we had a lot of fun.

Britteny & James had their engagement photos done at MSU Campus!  Look how much fun they had!  They are going to have a difficult time picking their favorites.  Mine are the first two and the last two. James is serving and came in town for the shoot, he is stationed out west and was in for a couple of days.  We got in a great shoot and had a lot of fun!

The Blessed Sacrament Cathedral is one of the most special places in Detroit to get married.  It is the seat of the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit.  There is a great history to this church and having a wedding here is super special.  Lauren & Josh were dynamite to work for, they were lots of fun and energetic.  We moved on downtown for some shots and then out on to Belle Isle for some fun.

The evening brought a wonderful party at the Detroit Yacht Club.  It is one of the most spectacular settings on the river with a great history.  Guests strolled along the long porch and watch the sunset during cocktails then went in for dinner.  After the first dance for the couple the party was in full swing.  We are pretty sure Josh was a pirate in a former life!

Patrick recalls this to be one of the nicest wedding and most fun couple he ever had the honor of photographing for.
